Hi

My daughter wrote this poem, which can be sung to the tune of Amazing Grace.

Jeri

Remembering her "Fantome"

With Amazing Grace

she sailed through days

gently playing on waves.

She was home for our hearts

and carried us

in the holds of her embrace.

Her crew are friends

unto us all

and to every one they met.

They worked hard long days

but through it all

I've never seen one frown yet.

The Fantome has left

our sight and touch.

What could we back to her give?

And her crew with their jokes,

striped shirts and smiles,

through our love will always live.

We will not forget

Rum swizzles,

or dancing with the crew,

diving off the bow,

or our captains story hour.

We'll remember these things and you.

They faced the storm,

they had no choice.

How could we know that their time had come?

But on sunny days,

when we see the waves,

we will always think of them.

With Amazing Grace

she sailed through days

gently playing on waves.

She was home for our hearts

and carried us

in the holds of her embrace.
