Brent &
Lisa Blanchard November 1993
My wife, Lisa, and I married
in November of 1993, and were apparently among the first to travel
on the Fantome after her refurbishing. We were treated to a magical
tour of the West Indies; riding horses in Nevis, sunbathing on
the black sands of Monserrat, frolicking on the nude beaches of
St. Bart's, and shopping in St. Martin's.
As our photo's show, we were
blessed with sunsets that defied description, fellow passengers
that quickly became good friends, an experienced and amiable crew
that kept us comfortable, and memories that we will cherish forever.
In the years since, we made
several "tentative" plans to return with friends, but
each time either someone had a baby, changed jobs, or politely
asked for a delay. We obviously did not know at the time that
this would truly be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our memories
will never fade, and we look forward to returning one day to celebrate
our second honeymoon on a Windjammer ship. Of this we are certain.
